150 N Riverside Site Visit

A few months ago I went on a site visit to see the construction progress of one our firms projects, 150 N Riverside. This project is unique in that the buildings footprint is minimized to respond to the unique site conditions: a train line still running underground to the west of the site, and the river set back on the east. This will be a short blog of pictures I took during the construction site visit.

Taiwan Winter Trip

After a few weeks back from Taiwan, I finally found some motivation and energy to write another blog post. I've been adjusting back to my life and Chicago, and somehow with the help of jet lag I've been able to sleep and wake up early. Anyway, going back on topic to this trip, I didn't really get a chance to travel much, since the main purpose of this trip was to visit family and relax. My small small camera (Lumix GM1) dropped and broke a few weeks before this trip, so most of theses photos are taken with my olympus. My dad gave me his Fuji XT1 he wasn't using, so I've also been experimenting with the Fuji system. I'm trying to spend less time editing photos, and just posting raw images from my camera, since I've been procrastinating way too much, and with my limited time after work, I haven't been motivated enough to post frequently. ( I don't know what adrian's excuse is)

Farnsworth House Fall trip

It has been a really really too long since my last post! I've attempted to write about my grad backpack trip, but never had the motivation to complete that post. It's almost winter in Chicago now, so I've decided to end this lack of motivation by squeezing a post about this mini trip I took a few weeks ago when it was still fall in Chicago. I will start posting more often, for those who still follow me! Thanks and sorry for the delay! Work life is really different from academic life, and after staring at the monitor all day at work you kind of lose motivation to work more at home.

Philly's Hidden Garden

A few weeks ago, my friends and sneaked into the secret hidden garden at the old Reading Terminal Viaduct. I have always known about the reading terminal viaduct because it was the site for my first project at Penn. I know I told my friends not to give the location away, since technically this place is not opened to the public (it's actually not legal per se :P), so I will not be sharing how we got in the place on this blog ( just msg me ;) or as me in person I feel the need to post more often, since it might be my last few months in Philly. Anyway here are a few images that illustrate what's to see in Philly's hidden Garden~ Starting this at blog 3 A.M wasn't really a good idea..

Cartagena Studio Trip

This past week our studio took a one week trip to Cartagena Colombia! Our studio trip was tightly packed, so most of the images I took were in between meetings and meals. It was nice having a break from life in the states, but not much of a break from studio work during the trip. We actually got to meet the mayor there, and lots of other influential people in Cartagena!

Harry Potter Warner Bros Studio Tour!

I thought I was going to continue writing about my previous summer backpacking trip, but I decided to write more about my time in London (since it's still fresh in my mind). This trip took place a few months ago, when congee gave me a free ticket to visit the Warner Bros studio because his friend couldn't make it. The Warner Bros studio is located northwest of London 15 minutes bus ride away from Watford Junction. This is where the magical Harry Potter Series was filmed, with original gimmicks and costumes used in the real film.  There are also a bunch of really nice models of architecture from the movie! Anyways I'll try to keep the picture count low in this blog, because my last post had way too many photos which made viewing the blog really slow!

Places to visit in London

So this is the post where I post a lot of pictures of places I've visited in London. I wanted to keep the picture count low for this post, but I realized that it is really impossible for me to make this a short post, since I've been living in London for around 4 months and been to a ton of places I want to share. All these places are organized in chronological order and no other specific ordering strategy! I will continue on my long a do eurotrip posts after this blog! First I'll just show a map of the places I've been in London! These places include architecture and restaurants that I visited and some places I wanted to visit but didn't have time!

I was tempted to split this post into many parts, but in the end I just went with this really long post!

Here is the tldr photo album link of some of the places I visited in London
